Import and Export

While accounting for 15% of the terminal’s volumes KFTL’s domestic business is an important aspect of its operations and is of major significance in the movement of Jamaica’s import/export of goods. As a consequence significant priority is given to this aspect of our operation as we recognize our role as a major player in the Jamaican economy and seek always to facilitate the processes and orginastions necessary.

In this regard we partner with stakeholders such as members of the Port Trailer Haulage Association (PTHA) and the members of the Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association of Jamaica (CBFFAJ) in our effort at satisfying the needs of our shippers and consignees.

Our warehousing facility provides and area in which the stuffing/un-stuffing and examination of containers for import export is done. In this process KFTL partners with a number of government agencies and ministries in operating a one-stop facility at which importers/exporters can access the services provided by a number of government agencies. These entities work together to facilitate importers/exporters in the seamless and timely movement of their cargo.
