TALENT & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS PARTNER

Job Purpose

Partner with a variety of key stakeholders to develop and implement organization and talent solutions to develop employees, create an engaged learning culture, and build organizational strength. Lead the various organizational development programs such as employee professional development, leadership development and employee engagement.

 General Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Design and implement tools to enhance the knowledge and capability of key talent to enable managers to effectively lead the organization toward achievement of business objectives
  • Assist the management team as well as business leaders in creating development plans for key talent to prepare for organizational growth
  • Develop and implement a leadership development program in collaboration with internal resources/stakeholders
  • Design and implement the talent review and succession planning process and work with Human Resources Partners to support and lead succession planning initiatives
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on developing and implementing an on-boarding framework
  • Be a key player and champion of the performance management program
  • Assist in the design and implementation of appropriate evaluation tools and report and determine the impact of training on employee performance
  • Develop train-the-trainer programs and provide train-the-trainer sessions for internal resources
  • Provide classroom-led training support and on-site support for training exercises, tests, or evaluations
  • Develop mechanism to monitor individuals’ post-training engagement

Education and Experience

  • Minimum Undergraduate Degree in a related field such as Organizational Development, Learning and Development, or Training Management
  • 5 years’ related experience, 3 at the management level
  • Knowledge in design and implementation of learning technology solutions. Experience working with an LMS and building an online training presence from the ground up would be an advantage
  • Experience with psychometric instruments (i.e. DISC). Certification would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods and techniques
  • Good platform skills (e.g. Presentations, Teaching and Demonstrations)
  • Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Job Purpose

Creates, diagnoses, troubleshoots, documents and maintains the company’s business database systems including back-up, performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring critical events.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
  • Tests backups to meet the business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
  • Troubleshoots SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
  • Configures SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms and perform data analysis
  • Manages clustering, logs, mirroring and application integration
  • Liaises with IT teams to resolve complex application performance issues
  • Installs and configures new SQL Servers
  • Deploys database change scripts provided by third party vendors
  • Maintains archived data
  • Maintains data integrity and security (manages roles and permissions of database users).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional, MCSA SQL Server 2012 or certification in Database Administrator – DB2 10.1 for Linux, Unix, and Windows
  • At least 5 years’ experience in administering Microsoft SQL server databases and other RDBMS.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience with MS-ACCESS, MS-SQL 2000, 2005, 2008, 2012 Client-Server systems.
  • Knowledge of other databases like MySQL, Informix, Oracle and DB2
  • Good organisation, communication, teamwork, problem solving and analytical skills.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose

Maintains, repairs and evaluates mechanical, electrical/electronic and structural systems on all the Terminal’s Heavy-duty Container Handling Equipment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Executes preventative and corrective maintenance procedures and schedules in conformance with engineering standards and codes and the relevant statutory regulations
  • Completes all relevant documentation to support execution, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Tests equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards and identifies components to be overhauled
  • Participates in the analysis/research of the performance of electrical systems and other components and recommends modifications where necessary to improve efficiency
  • Executes all activities while ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Executes disaster contingency plans and participates in securing all equipment in the event of impending natural disasters such as hurricanes or storms
  • Works on assigned shift and in all areas of the Engineering department, as required by management

 Education and Experience

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance from a recognized institution;
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in maintenance and repair activities and evaluations for relevant equipment and machinery
  • Successful completion of the company’s Junior Maintenance Technician’s programme
  • Experience working with PLC systems
  • Diesel engine maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices
  • Sound knowledge of relevant mechanical/pneumatic/electronic engineering systems and safety practices
  • Skilled in preparing and interpreting technical drawing/sketches;
  • Problem solving and analysis skills
  • Must possess a valid general driver’s licence
