Job Purpose

Leads in the development & management of a formal Quality Management System (QMS) that documents processes, procedures and methodologies; ensures compliance with quality policies and the achievement of quality objectives; works proactively with executives, managers, supervisors and employees to maintain a program of continual improvement within the organization.

KFTL will follow and expand on industry quality assurance programs that reflect its highest international standards. The Quality Manager’s role ensures that critical procedures are in place for each department, and that they are kept current, giving particular focus to customer interface, equipment reliability and operational and staff efficiencies. In effect, the substantive responsibility of this role is to ensure improvement in the overall effectiveness and efficiency in all areas of KFTL’s operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

 Develop quality processes in line with the QMS to include ISO14001 / ISO 9001 / ISO 45001, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) processes and oversee continued compliance across the business.

 Work with departments to document and promulgate quality processes and strategy and to ensure compliance with these processes and strategy.

 Coordinate with CMA CGM Group Head Office counterparts to ensure the Company’s alignment with corporate quality policies and standards.

 In consultation with HODs, define quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitor departments’ performance against annual metrics and priorities.

 Facilitate and manage the quality audit process, as well as supplier development and improvement to ensure project deliveries.

 Lead a ‘correct at source’ and problem solving business system methodology; recommend corrective action plan for weaknesses identified.

 Monitor the Terminal’s performance by gathering, collating and analyzing relevant performance data against defined parameters and producing statistical reports and solutions.

 Coordinate with technical staff in carrying out tests and checks.

 Facilitate Senior Management review of QMS outcomes to assess gaps and to recommend corrective action plan for closing such gaps.

 Identify relevant quality related training needs and recommend training.

 Collate all technical and engineering standards, administer a central library for KFTL QMS; deploy document control protocols across the Company.


 Postgraduate Degree in Engineering Management,Social Sciences or related field

 Certification in ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 450001) to audit and implement competencies

 Certification in Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, Operational Excellence and Lean Management Business Systems

 Certification in project management

 Experience in Quality Assurance/Management

 Membership in a Quality related professional body would be advantageous

 Exposure to a high volume dynamic environment, preferably logistics

 Knowledge of customer service principles and practices would be an asset

 Knowledge of the Shipping Industry/Terminal operations would be an asset

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualified, dynamic, energetic and customer service-oriented employees are invited to apply for the position of IT HELP DESK ADMINISTRATOR in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT.

Job Purpose

Support the Information Technology department through use of an automated ITIL compliant application that captures the issues and needs of the internal users; provide a range of entry-level support of multi-user operating systems, hardware and application software, including installation, configuration and maintenance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

 Provide Help Desk support to all end users; answering, evaluating, and prioritizing requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, computer-related technologies

 Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware, operating system, and software related problems, when possible from the Help Desk

 Troubleshoot and resolve basic network and server access problems for end-users, when possible through the Help Desk

 Prepare service desk reports and provide general assistance to the Information Technology department

 Forward technical support issues that cannot be addressed by the Help Desk to the appropriate IT resource

 Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security

 Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware and peripherals to include; network cards, printers, modems, mice and other computer accessories/peripherals

 Work as a team member with other technical staff

 Assist with maintaining system documentation

 Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network

 Document system problems and resolutions for future reference

 Add to knowledge base to assist with solving common internal user issues or problems

Education and Experience:
 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related discipline

 Three (3) years’ working experience

 Competency in configuring network and application systems

 Understanding of Internet Protocol IP related environments

 Good working knowledge of the following operating systems: Windows Server, Windows 7, 8, 10

 Knowledge of a range of computer software; computing and network hardware and peripheral equipment

 CompTIA A+, N+, Project+, ITIL certification would be an asset

 Previous knowledge of Service Desk applications would be an asset

 Ability to install, configure, and maintain personal computers, networks, and related hardware and software

 Ability to learn and support new systems and applications

 Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel

 Good telephone etiquette, verbal and written communication skills

 Time management, initiative

 Excellent interpersonal skills
